The program

What is REVO?

REVO stands for Remote Evolution. We run short, practical training programs for remote careers. Three tracks are open: Customer Support, Admin & Virtual Assistant and Project Management. Each is 60 days and ends with a certificate.

Which track should I choose?

Choose Customer Support if you like solving problems for customers in real time, by email, chat and phone. Choose Admin & Virtual Assistant if you are organised, careful with detail and like keeping someone else's work running: inbox, calendar, documents, travel and invoices. Choose Project Management if you like planning, sequencing work and keeping a team on track. No track needs another.

Who are the tracks for?

Total beginners and people with a few months of relevant experience. You don't need a degree. You do need clear English, a laptop once the tool labs start and about 1.5 to 2 hours a day.

Can I take more than one track?

Yes, one after the other. They are separate programs with separate certificates, and each is a separate $169 enrolment.

How long does it take?

60 days at the recommended pace of 1.5 to 2 hours a day, which is roughly 90 to 120 hours in total. Your access runs for 60 days from the day you enrol.

Is it live or self-paced?

Self-paced. There are no fixed class times. Lessons are written or short videos, and every module has a lab and a quiz you complete in your own time.

What will I be able to do when I finish?

On Customer Support: handle email, chat and phone support for online stores and software companies, work orders in Shopify, use helpdesks such as Zendesk, Gorgias and Intercom, and file bug reports. On Admin & VA: run an inbox and calendar, produce clean documents and data, plan travel, issue invoices, research and present options, and manage tasks for more than one client. On Project Management: write a charter, build a schedule and budget, keep a risk log, run Scrum sprints in Jira and report status honestly. Every track teaches you to use AI tools responsibly.

Which tools will I learn?

Customer Support goes deep on Zendesk, Gorgias, Intercom, Shopify and Google Workspace, with working knowledge of Freshdesk, Zoho Desk, HubSpot, tawk.to, Aircall, Slack, Notion and Jira. Admin & VA goes deep on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365 for the web, Canva and a project tool, with working knowledge of Calendly, Slack, Zoom, Loom, Bitwarden, an invoicing tool, HubSpot CRM, Mailchimp and Buffer. Project Management goes deep on Jira, a second project tool and Google Sheets, with working knowledge of Trello, Notion, Confluence, Miro and Clockify. All three use AI assistants throughout.

Can I use AI during the program?

Yes. AI is taught in every module and has a full module of its own. You learn to prompt it, check its work and know when it must not answer. In the capstone you can use AI as you would on a real job, and you say where it helped.

Requirements

Do I need a laptop?

Yes. Project Management needs a laptop or desktop from day one. On Customer Support and Admin & VA the first modules work on a phone, and the tool labs need a laptop from Module 4 and Module 3.

What internet connection do I need?

A steady connection that can handle video and web apps, plus a backup such as a mobile hotspot. Lessons are built for low data: written lessons read well on a phone and videos are short.

How good does my English need to be?

Clear enough for a customer to understand you easily, in writing and when you speak. The admissions test checks both. If your writing needs some work, we may accept you with an English bridge pack of extra grammar practice.

I live outside Africa. Can I apply?

The first intake is for learners in Africa. We plan to open to other regions after it graduates. Send us a message and we'll tell you when that happens.

Admissions

How do admissions work?

All stages are free: an application form, a 30-minute timed written test and a 60 to 90 second video introduction. Admin & VA applicants also take a 15-minute accuracy test, and Project Management applicants a 20-minute planning exercise. See How It Works for the details and the scoring.

Why is there a test?

Employers judge REVO graduates by the ones they've already met. Screening protects the value of your certificate, and it means we only take your fee if we believe you can finish.

What if I don't pass?

You can apply again after 30 days.

When does the program start?

Accepted applicants receive their start date and enrolment link by email.

Cost

How much does it cost?

$169 per track, paid once. Applying is free and you pay only after you're accepted.

Are there extra costs?

No tool costs. Every tool runs on a free plan or free trial. You need your own laptop or desktop and your own internet.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within limits. See the refund policy.

I can't afford the fee. What can I do?

Organisations and donors can sponsor seats. If an organisation is sponsoring you, name it on your application. You can also point an organisation to our organisations page.

Certificate and jobs

What certificate do I get?

Customer Support graduates become a REVO Certified Remote Customer Support Specialist. Admin & VA graduates become a REVO Certified Remote Administrative Professional. Project Management graduates become a REVO Certified Project Coordinator. To earn any of them you pass every module quiz, submit every graded assignment, score 75 or higher on the capstone, 80% or higher on the final exam and 80% or higher overall.

Is the certificate accredited?

It is issued by REVO and is not a university or government qualification. Employers can see the work behind it in your portfolio, which is built from your capstone and labs.

Will REVO get me a job?

We don't promise jobs. Hiring decisions belong to employers. You graduate with skills, a certificate, a portfolio and a community that shares job leads and makes referrals where it can.

What is The Remote Connect?

The Remote Connect (TRC) is our career-support partner. After you graduate, TRC can help with CV and profile positioning, finding remote roles, applications and interview preparation. Joining TRC is optional and its fees are separate from the Academy.

How do I avoid remote job scams?

The Career Launch module on each track covers this in detail. The short version: be wary of anyone who asks for an upfront fee to give you a job, who only talks by chat, or who promises guaranteed work.
